This 200 year old Grade II listed cottage has been sympathetically restored whilst retaining many original features including exposed stonework sash windows and stripped pine doors providing much character and charm. The quayside with shops galleries pubs and restaurants is only a short stroll away. Across the water is Instow with its sandy beach and the famous Tarka Trail meandering alongside the estuary. You can also sit and relax and watch the constant activity generated by local fisherman unloading their catch. As there is always something to see it will not matter that there is no garden although there is a small courtyard. For those that love the beach Westward Ho! with its golden sandy beach and surfing is a few miles away. This quaint fisherman s cottage offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin with low rise 2 6 beds can be put together to make one normal size single. Shower room: with WC. All accessed via a steep but secure staircase with stairgate at the top and door at the bottom. Downstairs lounge: cosy room with TV DVD and coal effect gas fire. Kitchen/diner: with fridge and small ice compartment cooker washer/dryer microwave and woodburner effect gas fire. There is also an outside WC. Amenities: public parking close by or free roadside parking. Bed linen tea towels electric central heating and Wi-Fi included. 1 dog welcome. Regret no smoking. Location: beach 1 mile pubs and shops walking distance.

Northam is a small village in north Devon, England, not far from Westward Ho!, Bideford, Appledore, Instow, and Abbotsham. The nearest designated cities are Plymouth and Exeter.
Whilst perhaps not as well known as some other towns in the area Northam is in fact an excellent location for a holiday in north Devon, boasting a wide range of holiday lets and accommodation. It is known for the Northam Burrows which lies beside the Taw Torridge Estuary. These marshes and sand dunes are part of the North Devon Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and provide for a beautiful location to both explore and also to view a variety of wildlife in their natural habitat.
